Underground Operations Frontline Supervisor

Are you a seasoned professional with extensive experience in underground operations, looking for a dynamic and challenging career opportunity? Nevada Gold Mines is currently in search of a committed Underground Operations Frontline Supervisor for our Turquoise Ridge operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing our high-producing gold mining operations, with a focus on ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity. As a key member of the Underground Operations team, the ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of underground hard rock mining and a strong track record in leading teams and managing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce a safety culture, ensuring all team members return home safe and healthy every day.
• Operational Management: Prioritize and assign personnel as jobs require, ensuring production targets are met efficiently.
• Team Development: Develop and train employees to standards for safe and efficient equipment operation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Equipment Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment performs as desired and collaborate with engineering to ensure compliance with mine plans.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between management and the underground team, ensuring clear and open communication.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational challenges promptly to maintain productivity and safety standards.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.

• Experience: Minimum of six (6) years in underground mine-related experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proven knowledge of underground hard rock mining and experience in planning/scheduling of maintenance work preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and direct underground supervision.
• Safety Record: Demonstrated commitment to safety with a strong track record in previous roles.
